George Keller, 79, of the Town of Port Washington, died Tuesday morning, February 21st; at his home of infirmities of old age.
Mr. Keller, a lifetime Ozaukee County resident, was born in Port Washington on March 31, 1870, and in 1896, he was married to Sophie Dommer of the Town of Saukville. They settled on Lake Shore Road where they continued to reside.
Mrs. Keller preceded him in death in 1909; in 1927, he married Mrs. Altena Harnack of Town of Port Washington who died in 1948.
Survivors include four children; Mrs. John (Elsie) Behling, Mrs. Ervin (Melma) Paulin, Lallie and Harvey Keller, all of Port Washington; three brothers, Edward Keller of Fredonia, Arthur of West Bend, and Herman of Milwaukee; further survived by six grandchildren.
One child died in infancy and a daughter died in infancy and another daughter died at age 18 years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Horn Funeral Home, at Frieden’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, where the Rev. Fred L. Rodenbeck will officiate at the last rites at 2 p.m.
Interment will be made at the Union Cemetery, Port Washington, the following will pallbearers: William Scharl, Ed Schneider, Al Thomas, Emil Berger, Joseph Kolbach, Ben Blumenberg.
Friends may call at Horn Chapel until time of services.
