Rev. Edgar Hewlett, 75, died Sunday, December`7, in Highlands Regional Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1903 in Carter County, son of Charles and Margaret Adkins Hewlett. He was a resident of Van Lear and a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, DelphiaYoung Hewlett; a son, Joe Hewlett of Paintsville; a daughter, Doris Sesco of Inez; 2 brothers, Lawrence Hewlett of Dayton, OH and Bill Hewlettt of Tocoma, Wash; a sister, Beatrice Dheel of Lowmansville.
Funeral services were be held Wednesday, December 20, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Tommy Reynolds and Moses Kitchen officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
