George Henry Bruce, 81 of Houston passed away on March 16, 2011. He was born July 10, 1929 to Melvin and Edna Bruce in Iola, Texas.
Mr. Bruce is survived by his daughter Alice Jewel Diggs and husband Lewis if Channelview, Texas ; sons: Howard "Toby" Bruce and wife Juliana of Houston, Texas, George Henry Bruce and wife Pamela of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Phillip Melvin Bruce and wife Brenda of Spring, Texas, James Edward Bruce and Sara of Houston, Texas, Step sons: Gerald Parduhn of Wisconsin and Dennis Parduhn of Houston, Texas; sisters: Lena Jarvis of Keith, Texas, Evelyn Roberts of Onalaska, Texas and Cora Lucas of Willis, Texas; 19 Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Katherine Bruce, his parents and a daughter Mary Elizabeth Bruce.
Visitation for Mr. Bruce will be held from 9-10 A.M., Saturday. Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Bruce officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ebenezer Cemetery.
