She was a native of Bulloch County and was a retired salesperson and buyer for Fines Department Store and Minkovitz Department Store. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 90, and was a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church where she was in the Cora Williams Circle.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn N. Hendrix, Statesboro; three grandchildren, Melissa H. Parrish, Bluffton, S.C., Laura Quattlebaum, Statesboro and Libba Clark, Macon; and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with Elder George Daunhauer officiating, assisted by Elder Brannen Purser. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
