Howard T. Averyt, 57, of Spanaway, died Monday. Mr. Averyt, who was born in Grand Junction, Colo., was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired boilermaker. He was a member of Spanaway United Methodist Church and served on its administrative board for nine years and as worship commission chairman for two years.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two stepdaughters, Patricia Frazier of Lacey and Margaret Flannery of Tacoma; a stepson, Michael Shahan of Spanaway and five grandchildren.
