John C. Crader, 65 years old, of McClure, IL, died July 25. Mr. Crader was born January 24, 1911 at Lutesville, MO.
On January 20, 1958 he married Martha Ann Miller at Tomahawk, WI.
He had resided in McClure since 1955, moving there from East St. Louis, IL.
He was a retire riverboat captain and worked 47 years on the river, primarily for Federal Barge Lines, American Barge Lines and Mississippi Valley Barge Lines.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 54.
Surviving are his wife; one brother, James Crader of Lutesville, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Anna O'Keefe of St. Louis and Mrs. Sophie Robertson of St. Louis.
Services were July 27 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau and burial was in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
