Alice Brumage, 85, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, after an extended illness. Born in Washington, D.C., she was a graduate of Chicago State Teacher's College and worked at Pacific University for several years. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, hooking rugs, traveling and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; brother, Charles Woodcock; and close friend and companion, William "Bill" Thom. Alice is survived by her sisters, Helen Woodcock of Portland, and Betty Ayer of Las Cruces, N.M.; her children, Jim Brumage of Portland and Beth Crawford (John) of Brentwood, Tenn.; and grandson, Joseph W. Reseland III; and great-grandson, Joseph W. Reseland IV, of Brentwood, Tenn. Interment will be in Fir Lawn Cemetery, Hillsboro.
