Elizabeth Marie Doss was born in Gay Hill, Milam County, Texas, and graduated from Rockdale High School. She was a resident of Houston for the past six years and spent most of her life in the Gay Hill community and Rockdale area. She also resided for a short time in Taft and Pearland. She worked as a bookkeeper for I.G.C. in Rockdale for twenty-one years, retiring in 1972. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jeanne May Aldridge. Mrs. Doss died at Golden Age Nursing Home in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Funeral services were held February 25, 1997 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
