CSA, Company E, 1st Georgia Reserves. Enlisted on 25 May 1863 in Emanuel County, Georgia. Died of typhoid fever in Savannah, Georgia at General Hospital #2.

(special thanks to Linda Wallis for photos and the following info) - Cemetery records indicate Mr Turner died on Jul 11, 1864 at Savannah Medical College Hospital and buried on the 12th. He was a member of Company D.

(special thanks to Mike Ridgdill for the following info) - John Lee Turner is my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. His wife is buried at Antioch Cemetery in Emanuel County, near my home. I am a member of B/G John C. Carter Camp 207 SCV.
