Born April 5, 1938 in Murray, Utah to William Stanley Bradfield and Eva Elder. Jo Ann graduated Delta High School in 1956; graduated Henagar Business College in June 1957. Mom met Dad during the winter of 1956 and married her eternal companion Thomas Ralph Anderton on June 24, 1960 in the Manti, Utah Temple.
She retired from Valley Mental Health as an A.R.T. (Accredited Records Technician) and was an active member of DUP (Daughters of Utah Pioneers).
Our mom truly lived up to phrase "world's best grandmother"! She treasured and loved all of her grandchildren. Mom was a masterful cook. She loved feeding everyone who crossed her way. Camping and spending time with family was always a priority. Dad and mom loved traveling together and experienced many beauties of the world.
Mom departed mortality a faithful and dedicated member of the LDS Church. Service was her motto. One highlight of her married life was serving an LDS mission to Nauvoo, Illinois from 2002-2003 of which many cherished and lifelong friendships were developed and maintained.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years Thomas Ralph; sons: Scott, Mark (Justine Allan), and Brent; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Lyn McGuire. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Lavell Bradfield, Edward Bradfield.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 in the Olympus Second Ward Chapel, 3070 East Nila Way (4100 South), Holladay, Utah, at 11:00 a.m.. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Olympus Second Ward Building and again Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery.
