(Sometimes you will see the name Eckols spelled Echols as I know it now) Pic taken abt. 1890 More info...Father of Lynn Eckols is Anderson Taylor Eckols b.12-3-1821 TN,d.8-24-1860 Belmont, Gonzales Co., TX wife, Mary Jane Echols(Wheaton)(Eckols)(Ringer)b. 7-4-1825 TN d. 1-1906, daughter of Sarah and Abner Echols/Eckols. (It seems Anderson married his cousin Rebecca first then cousin Mary Jane Eckols.)Lou and Lynn had at least 6 daughters and 2 sons and married 7-4-1881 Coryell,TX.

Windham b.1815 GA d.1869 in Texas, mother Eliza P.Reese b.7-18-1833 in Lowndes Co.,MS.daughter of David Reese b.3-5-1810 SC d.7-20,1878 or 1870, Coryell Co. TX. William G Windham's father was G. Willis Windham b.abt. 1787 in SC d.probably in November1868 in present day Jones Co.,MS. wife Sarah LNU(May be Morgan)b.1785 NC d.early 1869 a few months after G. Willis Windham died.

My gg grandmother Lue. The town is actually spelled Hurst Springs, TX. The town named after John Harvard Hurst b. 11-25-1830 IN, who established the community near a small spring. He married Mary Elberry Windham b. 12-15-1835 d. 9-5-1883(buried Raney Cemetery Coryell Co., TX). Married in 1858, probably Lampasas, TX.
