Anthony "Sugar" Saule, 81, of 219 Gillis St., Solvay, died Thursday at Community-General Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Saule was a life resident of the village of Solvay. He retired from the maintenance department of the Solvay School District.
Mr. Saule was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church, Solvay, and a member of the Solvay Tigers Athletic Club and the Solvay-Geddes Community Youth Center.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Antoinette Bianchi; a son, Peter of Liverpool; a daughter, Jean Case of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; two sisters, Julia Heid of Syracuse and Rose Mydlinski of Marcellus; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home, Solvay, and 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave
