Funeral services will be at at 11 a.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Laura G. Gilbert, 77, of Rt. 3, Box 132, West Monroe at the Old Bethel Baptist Church in West Monroe with the Rev. Elmer Douglas officiating.
Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.
Mrs. Gilbert died Monday at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe after a short illness.
[Survivors include one son], James S. [sic F.] Gilbert of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. S. E. Fletcher of West Monroe and Mrs. Hazel Ford of Larryville, Calif.; one brother, Fred Doolittle of West Monroe; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Walker, O. L. Doolittle, Roy Weaver, Bill Johnson, Jimmy Doolittle and Ramond Doolittle.
