Mr. Bowman held the position as the principal of Purdy Elementary School. He spent 35 years as a teacher & principal. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII. He was a member, deacon & served as choir director for the of the Arnhart Baptist Church. He also served as caretaker for the Arnhart Cemetery.
