Statesboro - Jimpse Thomas Jones, 83, died Thursday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital here after a short illness. The Bulloch County native lived in Statesboro for many years. He was a retired Monument Dealer and member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Crouse Jones of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Aikens of Statesboro; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Webb of Beaufort, S.C., Mrs. Mary Lee Tucker of Statesboro, Mrs. Julia Dell Forehand, Misses Martha and Louise Jones, all of Metter; two brothers, Edward and Robert Jones, both of Metter; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary.
