Funeral services for Ilene Clifton Downey, 84, were held Saturday afternoon at First Baptist Church with her former pastor, Rev. M. E. Dickson of Ardmore, Okla., and the pastor, Rev. Greg Johnson, officiating. She died Thursday, Oct. 5,1995, at her home.

Mrs. Downey was born February 12, 1911, in Newport. She and Brady Clifton were married February 1, 1927, in Newport. He died January 16, 1959. She and Alfred Downey were married May 6, 1965, in Ardmore. He died December 27, 1993.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Olney Assembly of God Church. She had lived in Olney most of her life except for 30 years that she lived in Ardmore. She was a collector and lover of antiques.

Survivors: two sons - L.G. Clifton of Pampa, Jimmy Dale Clifton of Fort Morgan, CO; daughter - Melba Adams of Olney; step-daughter - Patsy Faulkenberry of Chickasha, OK; brother - Jake Bowman of Bowie; three sisters - Eunice Yandall of Ardmore, OK; Opal Walker of Bowie, Ava Maxwell of Nocona; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
