Mrs. Loretta May Hayes, 65, wife of Orlin H. Hayes, Park Avenue and Market Street, Cortland, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday at McCurley's Hospital of influenza and pneumonia.
Mrs. Hayes was born September 16, 1863 in Fredericksburg, Holmes County. She was a member of the Congregational Church, Mecca, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the K.K.K.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Grant, of Phalanx; one daughter, Mrs. Maud Barbe, Spokane; two brothers, William K. Armstrong, West Andover, and Harry J. Armstrong, Greene; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hill, Warren, and Mrs. Louisa Dyson, Farmdale; 11 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the late home. Burial will be made in Hillside Cemetery.
