Mrs. Peter Zenner, nee Clara Jordan, a pioneer citizen of Fredericksburg, died at the family residence here, after many years of suffering, March 12, 1931 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 23 days.
On June 14, 1872, when grown to womanhood, she united in marriage with Mr. Peter Zenner, her surviving husband, with whom she lived a happy married life. On June 14, 1922 the esteemed couple had the pleasure to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. The following named children survive their mother, Mrs. Ed. Fischer of San Antonio, Mrs. Wm Juenke of Fredericksburg, William Zenner of Morris Ranch, Mrs. J. H. Oatman of Plainview, Otto Zenner of Fredericksburg, Emil Zenner of San Antonio, Ernst Zenner of White Oak, Harry Zenner of San Antonio and Minna Zenner of Fredericksburg. Other survivors are 32 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John Lott and Mrs. Wm. Langerhans, four brothers-in-law. three sister-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 13, from the family residence and St. Mary's church and interment made in the Catholic Cemetery with Father Heckmann conducting. A large concourse of relatives and friends from this and adjoining counties attended the funeral.
