CHESTER HAYWOOD, 69, of Troy, Ohio, formerly of Olive Hill, died Saturday, September 25, 1982, at Stouder Hospital at Troy following an extended illness.

Mr. Haywood was born January 27, 1913, in Carter County, a son of the late Isom and Mary Birchfield Haywood.

He was a retired sand miner and highway construction worker and member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ at Tipp City, Ohio, and a member of the Troy Fish and Game Club.

Surviving are his wife, Martha M. Brewster Haywood, a son, Woodrow Haywood of Troy, two daughters, Mrs. Burlene Miller of Marion, Indiana, and Mrs. Mary Ann Archambault of Tahoe City, California, a brother, Peter Haywood of Olive Hill, a sister, Mrs. Vesta Hall of Whittier, California; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 29, 1982, at the Leslie A. Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill. Burial was in Haywood Cemetery.
