Nettie McCuen
Dies Saturday
Nettie Buckmaster McCuen, 85, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 12, at the Hazel Clark Nursing Home at 530 North 8th. She was born at Montezuma, Iowa, February 27, 1871, the daughter of William and Jane Hardin Patrick. She came to the Unionville, Iowa, vicinity at the age of four.
She was married to Fred Buckmaster, and to this union three sons were born. They are Moddrell, Cuddy, and Carl Buckmaster. In 1931, she married J. R. McCuen, and they lived in Martinsburg, Iowa, until his death seven years ago. She came to Centerville four years ago to make her home. Seven grandchildren, also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home. Rev. Lewis Schaffner, pastor of the Seymour Christian Church, will officiate, and burial will be in the Unionville Cemetery.
