Funeral services for Bill F. Brozek, age 99, of Tilden will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tilden, Nebraska.
Reverend John Broheimer will be the celebrant with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tilden.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden, continuing at church with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.
Willam Francis Brozek, son of James and Emma (Dittrich) Brozek, was born June 6, 1911 at Battle Creek, Nebraska. He attended rural school in Battle Creek, Nebraska. He was married to Eileen M. Zauner on November 24, 1938 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tilden, Nebraska. Four children were born to them: Shirley Ann Brozek, William J. Brozek, Robert L. Brozek and infant son, Francis. Mr Brozek farmed in Battle Creek and Tilden. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Bill enjoyed going to the Senior Center playing cards, dancing, and hunting pheasants. He was most proud of his only grandson, Bill and wife DeAnn, loving the many visits and games with his three great grandchildren. He was strengthened by his love of faith, family, friends, and his ability to work the land.
He died March 11, 2011 at Fremont Area Medical Center, AJ Merrick Manor at the age of 99 years and 9 months.
Survivors include his one daughter, Shirley Ann Reese and husband Wendell F. Reese of Fremont, NE; one son, Robert L. Brozek of Los Angeles, CA; one grandson, William D. Reese and wife DeAnn of Fremont, NE; three great grandchildren, Kathryn Mae Reese, Tyler D. Reese and Kayla Ann Reese all of Fremont, NE; one sister, Dorothy Reinoso and husband Luis of Glendale, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; sons, William and Francis; his parents; brothers, Leo and Victor; and sisters, Bernice, Louise, Charlette and infant Margaret.
