Stewart K. Arnold, 93, formerly of Atalissa and West Liberty, died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at Windmill Manor Care Center, Coralville.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, at Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty. Memorials may be made to Amenity Hospice in his memory.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, at Atalissa Church of Christ in Atalissa. The Rev. John McCrory will officiate the services. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine, Iowa.
Stewart Kenneth Arnold was born September 2, 1912, in Atalissa, the son of Otis and Erma (Van Horn) Arnold. He graduated from Atalissa High School in 1930. He married Ruby Erickson on February 19, 1938, in Muscatine. Together they farmed in the Atalissa area, until their retirement in 1974. They then moved to West Liberty where they lived until 2004, when they moved to Windmill Manor in Coralville. He was a member of the Atalissa Church of Christ and the Danish Brotherhood.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; four daughters, Betty (Richard) Beinke of Atalissa, Judith Sharar of Plainfield, IL, Ruth (Chuck) DeClercq of Palmer, AK, and Susan (Gary) Kobes of Emery, SD; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jessie Stewart of West Liberty, and Verlee Williams of Grandview.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two great-grandchildren.
