George Arnold Mitchem was the 5th child of his parents, Harvey Will Mitchem and Mary Frances "Mamie" Hull Mitchem of Gaston Co., NC. He was married first to Betty Jean Cunningham and secondly to Betty Faye Fowler. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force.
