Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie A. Cobb will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Main Street Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. M. D. Moore and the Rev. A. B. Ferguson. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Grandsons serving as active pallbearers will be Wade H. Cobb Jr., Owens T. Cobb, W. Roy Eargle Jr., Lucius D. Cobb, Jack L. Cobb, William Deal Cobb, George A. Adams III and Hampton M. Cobb.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Official Board and the Allie Cobb Circle No. 6 of Main Street Methodist Church; Richland County Courthouse officials, Dr. Bothwell C. Graham III, Dr. John E Holler, Dr. Frank Owens, H. B. Rhame Jr., Addison N. Parrott, Joe Abdalla, Dr. Grover C.Corley, Dr. Cecil Tucker, B. Ray Eddings, L. W. Conder Sr., W. B, Fulton, J. Hunter Elkins, Andrew Feagan, Dr. M. D. Marshe, R. R. Tucker, David W. Robinson Jr. and Dr. William S. Hall.

Mrs. Cobb's family has held political offices for 64 years in Richland County, Wade Hampton Cobb Sr., was magistrate, judge of probate and solicitor; W. H. Cobb Jr., was a member of the House of Representatives and for the past 28 years Superintendent of Education of Richland County. Owens T. Cobb, Sr., was a member of the House of Representatives for four consecutive terms. Owens T. Cobb, Jr., is presently a member of the Richland Delegation and DeBruhl J. Cobb was a former county commissioner.

Mrs. Cobb, 82, widow of W. Hampton Cobb, died Thursday after a long illness. She was born in Richland County, daughter of the late L. T. and Agnes Wise Shannon and had lived in Columbia all her life. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. R. H. George of Columbia and Mrs. George A. Adams of Surfside Station, Myrtle Beach; three sons, Wade H., DeBruhl J. and Jackson B. Cobb of Columbia, and two sisters, Mrs. Amos Davis of Columbia and Mrs. D. H. Campbell of Sumter.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Wade H. Cobb, 1215 Anthony Ave.
