Succumbs At Lafayette
MONTICELLO, Ind. — Rites for
Mrs. Clara J. (Gosma) Morehouse
77, Badger Grove, who died Thurs-
day night at St. Elizabeth's hospital
in Lafayette, will be held
2 p.m. Saturday at the Badger
Grove Baptist church, of which she
was a member.
The Rev. C. A. Mitchell will officiate,
assisted by the Rev. Kenneth
Ewing, and burial will be
in Grand View cemetery, West
Lafayette.
Born March 13, 1878, it Badger
Grove, she was married Jan, 25
1899, to Lee Morehouse, who survives.
She spent her entire life in
the Badger, community except for
four years she resided in Minnesota.
Surviving with the husband are
four sons, Albert of here, Russell
of Brookston, and Roscoe and
Glenn o£ Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren;
and a sister, Mrs. Flo Wilson,
Claremont; Calif. Two daughters,
Gladys Garvin and Bessie Morehouse,
are deceased.
Friends may call at the late residence
until 1 p.m. Saturday, when the body
will be taken to the church to lie in
state until the services. The Thompson
mortuary, Brookston, is in charge of
arrangements.
