Statesboro - Horace Jones, 70, died Sept. 6 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The native of Bulloch County was a member of Historical First African Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart in the Korean conflict.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Myrna DeLisa Jones of Adell; a son, Horace Clarence Jones Jr.; two sisters, Glenda Pearl Jones and Barbara Jones, both of Baltimore; four brothers, Miles Edward Jones, the Rev. Patrick Peoples Jones and Waymon Augustus Jones, all of Statesboro, and Furman Idie Jones of Washington; and other relatives.
VISITATION: 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Historical First African Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery.
