Pvt. Moreno died in the torpedoing & sinking of the troopship "Tuscania" on 5 February 1918 in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland by German submarine UB-77. He was first buried at Port Charlotte, isle of Islay, Scotland, in grave 17. His body was returned to the U.S. aboard the "Antigone" in August 1920. He was listed as a private in Casual Company #2 on that voyage.
