George Curtis Gray, for years one of the best-known businessmen in Marion, died Friday morning after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Gray recently suffered a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Gray was 77 years old. In 1877 he was married to Miss Emma Jenkins of Eddyville.
Until his retirement from business about two years ago, Mr. Gray was connected with the Yandell-Gugenheim Dry Goods Company.
