Hutchinson - Mrs. Eva M. Hutchinson, wife of James R. Hutchinson and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Long of Rural, died at her home in Bowling, Wednesday Feb. 17, 1904 at 2:30 o'clock of blood poisoning. The deceased who would have reached her 34th birthday had she been spared 5 more days, was born Feb. 22, 1870, her madian(sic) name being Eva M. Long. She embraced religion at an early age and was married Jan. 18, 1899 at the home of her parents. Besides her husband and little son, she leaves father, and mother, five brothers, five sisters, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death. In her death is lost a kind and loving wife and mother and an affectionate daughter and sister.

Funeral services were held in the Preemption M.E. church on last Friday, conducted by the Pastor who Preached from Psalms 119:12. "So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts with wisdom."
