Ellen Alford Cooley, 84, a native of Leakesville, MS and resident of Vinegar Bend, AL, died on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at her daughter's residence. She was affiliated with Shiloh Baptist Church in Deer Park, AL. Survivors include her son Manuel Cooley, three daughters Barbara Newman, Bonnie (Troy) Baxter and Audrey (Jerry) Coaker all of Vinegar Bend, AL, two sisters Mavis Crocker and Myrtle Hopkins both of Saraland, AL. A wake will be held Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6–9 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery.
