DEATH CLAIMS JESSE B. HILL
Funeral Services Will Be Held at Emerson & Thurman Chapel
Sunday at 2:30 p. m.
Jesse Burl Hill, sixty-five years of age, passed away yesterday afternoon at 5:18 at his home, 510 N Street, after an illness with complications.
He was born near Leesville, September 15, 1870, to William and Armina McKegg Hill.
On June 5, 1893 he was married to Miss Clara Weaver, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lena Bartlett and Miss Dorothy Hill, both at home; two sons, Luther Hill, Detroit and Arthur Hill, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Henderson, of Leesville and Mrs. Armina Plummer, of Medora; two brothers, Styles Hill and Laurel Hill, both of Leesville; and three grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a blacksmith by trade.
Following death the remains were prepared for burial at the Emerson-Thurman Funeral Home and returned to the home this afternoon to lie in state until the funeral which will take place at the Emerson -Thurman Chapel on Sunday afternoon at two-thirty, in charge of the Rev. Joel Lee Jones.
Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery on Monday.
