Mrs. Clara M. Markus

Mrs. Clara M. Markus, 81, formerly of 112 Jule Ave. in East Dubuque, died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday at Stonehill Care Center.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque, with burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery, south of Dubuque. Friends may call until 9 p.m. Friday at the Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave, where the wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Markus was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, and was a member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society in East Dubuque.

Her husband, Benjamin A. died June 25, 1965.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Williams of Sparks, Nev., Mrs. Allen "Bud" (Mary Jane) Boleyn of Dubuque, Mrs. Arnold "Junior" (JoAnn) Kremer of Farley, Iowa, and Mrs. Larry (Linda) Takes of Cascade, Iowa; four sons, LaVerne and Ben Jr., both of Dubuque, Dorrance of Moline, Ill., and Ronald Sr. of East Dubuque; 38 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Carrier of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Frank (Frances) Augustin of St. Catherine's, and a brother, Sylvester Felder of Florida.

Memorials may be given to Stonehill Care Center.
