Chrystelle Gibson - Chrystelle "Chris" Gibson, 88, of Plainview, passed away on March 6, 2011 at Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
Chrystelle was born on August 23, 1922 in Plainview, Texas to John and Mayme Haydon. She graduated from Plainview High School and then attended Lippert's Business College. She was the manager of Gun Brothers and later J.C. Penney's. She owned and operated Hair Classique for 28 years. She retired in 2004. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
She married Raymond Allen Gibson on July 13, 1944 in Plainview. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2008. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Bob Gibson; step-son, Ray Gibson; grandson, Christopher Douglas; her parents and two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her two daughters, Brenda Keenum and husband Wayne of Plainview, Cynthia Douglas and husband Tommy of Plainview; 12 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Allen Douglas, Bryan Douglas, Joey Keenum, Mark Keenum and Kevin Douglas.
The family suggests memorials to the College Heights Baptist Church Building Fund or the Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton
