She was the daughter of Richard Presley and Mary Helms. Sarah Pressley married William A. Hargett in 1807 in Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, USA. They had at least the following children: Presley Hargett, Esther Hargett, Strickland Hargett, Phoebe Hargett, Nathan L. Hargett. She is supposed to burind in Secrest Cemetery, Monroe, Union CO., N.C. Heritage of Union Co., NC pg. 217.
