Mrs. Bert L. Wulfjen, pioneer Colorado City resident, died Thursday
night in Natchez, Mississippi at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam
Geisenberg, Jr.

Funeral services were conducted here Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the
First United Methodist Church with Reverend Jack Ellzey, pastor
officiating.

Burial was in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of
Kiker and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wulfjen became ill in April while visiting her daughter. Her
condition became critical and Mr. Wulfjen traveled by plane to
her bedside May 3.

The Wulfjens were married December 31, 1899 in Georgetown
and had lived on their ranch 15 miles south of Colorado City
since their marriage.

She was an active member of the First Methodist Church here.

Survivors include Mr. Wulfjen ; one daughter, Louise
Geisenberger; six brothers, McSwain Fowler of Niagra Falls, New
York, Fred Fowler ­of Gause, Ed Fowler of Georgetown ; George
Fowler of Jarrell, James Fowler of Odessa; and Tom Fowler of
Midland.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Birdie McDaniel of
Georgetown ; Mrs. Pearl Patridge of Gause and Mrs. Hattie Fowler
of Dallas; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were James Wulfjen, Francis Winn, Eelon Harrell,
George McDaniel, Dan Fowler , Fowler McDaniel and Shelton Bass.
