Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Patsy Brasseaux, age 58, the former Patsy Boudreaux, who passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 12:20 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. John Berchman Cemetery in Cankton.
Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be Holy Ground, Isaiah 49, How Great Thou Art, Ave Maria, and The Old Rugged Cross.
Ms. Brasseaux was a native of Cankton and lived most of her life in Sunset. She was a hairdresser since 1970 at Joyce's Beauty Shop in Sunset and was a parishioner of St. John Berchman Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Bridget Olivier and her husband, Patrick, of Sunset; granddog, Charlie Olivier; two brothers, Robert Boudreaux of Bristol and Houston Boudreaux, Jr. and his wife, June, of Cankton; nieces, Kerri Boudreaux, Shonia Harris and her husband, Shane; nephews, Karl Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux and his wife, Monique, Kris Brasseaux and his wife, Terri, and Jason Brasseaux and his wife, Tricia; mother-in-law, Joyce Brasseaux of Sunset; brother-in-law, Wayne Brasseaux; sister-in-law, Vicki Brasseaux; and former husband, Byron Brasseaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Houston Boudreaux, Sr. and the former Dorothy Prejean.
She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, John "Allen" Brasseaux.
