Herbert A. Aker Sr. Herbert A. Aker Sr. died on Feb. 20, 2011.

Family and friends honored Herbert's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Baltimore, Md., on Feb. 25 from 9:30-10 a.m., at which time a funeral service began. Interment was in Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery.

He was the devoted father of Herbert A. Aker Jr. and his wife, Janet C., James F. Lowman and his wife, Kathleen J.; dear brother of Mona Cross, Eunice Jakubowski and the late John, Andrew and George Aker, Ina Cox, Iris Via; loving grandfather of Daniel Aker, Jaymes, Kelley, Sean and Neil Lowman.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Herbert's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
