Prvt. Matthew C Dockins, buried at Eden Cemetery in Lakemont, GA in a grave marked by a stone. See the Military Headstone Application in the attached photo. Mary C Dockins (sister in law) applied for it in 1940 at the age of 93 but passed away before the headstone could be claimed at the Rail station in Toccoa. Mary's family claimed the military headstone and placed it beside Matthew's brother (Andrew J Dockins) and sister in law (Mary C Jones Dockins) Here at Wiley Cemetery as an honorary cenotaph. Matthew's actual remains are buried at Eden Cemetery. A photo of the Muster Roll includes his name with 3 others buried in this Cemetery. Co F, GA Regiment, "State Guards".
