Mr. Allison died on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1909, in Baxter to the late Joseph and Avanah Mitchell Allison.
He went to Michigan after World War II to work in the tire manufacturing industry as a tool and die maker. Mr. Allison worked for Uniroyal Tire for more than 28 years before retiring in 1974. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed baseball the most and his beloved Detroit Tigers.
He enjoyed bird hunting and was an active member of Hazel Park Free Will Baptist Church.
His family includes two sons and daughtersinlaw, Charles and Susan Allison of Warren and Kenneth and Jean Allison of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Kim, Mark, Jill and Julie; and four greatgrandchildren, Drew, Jordan, Tiffany and Jeffrey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Buck Allison, who died on March 10, 1996.
