Bruce Garver, who manages this Memorial to Matilda (Hunter) Hotze (1872–1950), is a third cousin twice-removed to Hannah Jane (Garver) Hunter (1878–1958), whose husband, George William Hunter (1874–1937), is the only brother of Matilda (Hunter) Hotze (1872–1950) who during the year 1889 had wed Frank H. Hotze (1868–1934) with whom she raised a son, Lee Elwood Hotze (1894–1945), their only child. Hannah Jane (Garver) Hunter's great-grandfather, Samuel Garver, Jr. (1787–1868), is an older brother of Bruce's great-great-great grandfather, Jacob Garver (1794-1868).
