Frederic Schwartz, 70, of 3114 Seventieth Street, Urbandale, who died of a heart attack Monday at Mercy Medical Hospital Center will be at 10am Thursday in McDivitt Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Schwartz was born in Dubuque and raised in the Des Moines area 40 years. He was a retired teacher in the Des Moines school system and formerly taught at Lincoln High School and the old Franklin Jr. High. He was a member of Moingona Masonic Lodge 533 and American Legion Argonne Post 60.
Survivors include a son, Karl, of Woodward, and a sister, Helen Nank, of Chicago. Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Retarded Citizens Association. Westover Funeral Home made the arrangements.
