Obituary:

Funeral sevices for Richard Ross Anderson, 69, of 2606 19th Avenue, will be held
at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fuiten's Chapel in the Grove.

Mr. Anderson died of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday evening in a Portland
hospital.

Born in Fergus Falls, Minn. on April 12, 1884, he lived in Minnesota until
coming to Forest Grove seven years ago. He had followed the logging and
lumbering industry for the past 25 years and was operating a portable mill west
of Manning with his sons.

He was united in marriage to Bertha Anderson on April 12, 1909, at Vanscoy,
Saskatchewan, Canada. She survives him, as do three sons, Alma and Lyle of
Forest Grove, and Mathew, St. Paul, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Smith,
Mrs. Edna Benson and Mrs. Genevieve Phelps, all of Forest Grove; four brothers,
Guy, Columbia Falls, Mont., Benny, Estevan, Sask., Floyd, Vancouver, B.C. and
Lloyd, St. Pual, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints.

Interment will be in the Forest View cemtery.
