Guy W. Anderson, 71, died in the Whitefish Hospital Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Anderson made his home near Columbia Falls and had been a resident of Columbia Falls since coming there from Great Falls in 1934. He was a native of Otter Tail County, Minnesota. In 1912 he made to Montana and homesteaded in Richland County near Sidney, and made his home there until 1919 when he moved to North Dakota. He later moved to Great Falls and made his home there for six years before coming to Columbia Falls.
In January, 1916, he was married to Jennie C. Smith at Bemidji, Minnesota and was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie on July 25, 1944.
In 1945 he was married to his wife, Dolley, who now survives him. Besides Mrs. Anderson, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Betty Stapley of Martin City; five sons, Stephen Anderson of Columbia Falls, Douglas Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Willard Anderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Lester Anderson of Martin City, and Howard J. Anderson of Seattle; two brothers, Lloyd of Vancouver, BC, and Floyd Anderson of St. Paul, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
