Mrs. Harriet "Maxine" Lowry passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2005, just 7 days after the passing of her beloved husband of 63 years Horace Lowry. She was a native of Wichita, Kansas, a former resident of Madera and currently lived in Ventura for the past 8 years.

In addition to her husband, Maxine was preceded in death by her son Dennis Lowry and her parents Herman and Pearl Everhart.

She is survived by daughter Candace Jacobsen and her husband Michael, her grandchildren Stacy Lowry, Dennis Lowry, Jason White and Jessica Helseth, her step grandson Mark and Michael Jacobsen, her great granddaughter Alyssa Lowry and step great grandson Kevin Jacobsen, her brothers in law Huette and Henry Lowry and their families and her sister in law Susan Lowry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 4:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 8:00-11:00 AM at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Jay Chapel, with burial to follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
