David Cameron was born on 30 September 1936 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest son of John Sylvester Snyder and Catherine (Rissmiller) Snyder, and the grandson of Minnie Rebecka (Strohecker) Snyder and John Hartranft Snyder, one of the co-founders of the Lavelle Telephone and Telegraph Company.
A direct descendant of Revolutionary War soldier, Johann Nicholas Schneider, David was also the great-grandson of Civil War veteran, Timothy Matthias, who served with the Sunbury Guards (Company C of the Pennsylvania 47th Volunteers) as part of the Red River Campaign in Louisiana and with Sheridan during his 1864 Shenandoah Campaign.
A graduate of Muhlenberg College, his life was tragically cut short in 1962 when he was killed in a head-on collision on the Pennsylvania turnpike.

Gravesite Details
David C. Snyder is interred with his parents, John S. and Catherine (Rissmiller) Snyder, and their grandson, David Andrew Snyder (son of their oldest son, John A. "Jack" Snyder.) David died in a fatal car accident in 1962; interred 3 Jan 1963.
