Called Greenlawn cemetery this morning, they confirmed that William Emerson Hankinson was buried there, but was later relocated to Oak Grove cemetery, Hocking, Ohio. 5/9/2011
NELSONVILLE -- William E. Hankison, 80 of 18800 Laurel Run Road, Nelsonville Route 2, died Sunday evening at Lancaster-Fairfield Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Logan, he was the son of the late Hugh and Harriet Young Hankison. He was a retired boiler firemen at Logan High School.
He is survived by a daughter with whom he made his home; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his family.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Estella Sater Hankison; seven brothers and four sisters.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Stutler officiating. Burial will be Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday and until services Wednesday.
The family requests contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church of Nelsonville or the Laurel Run Community Church in lieu of flowers.
