She was the daughter of William E. and Estella P. (Sater) Hankison.
Barbara graduated from Union Furnace High School, and also
graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of
Science and Education. Retired from teaching after 40 years at
Nelsonville-York Schools. The last position she held was vice
principal; a member and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma;
a member of the Retired Teachers Assoc. and the Business and
Professional Women's Org.
She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church.
She died at the Carlin House in Logan.
Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral
arrangements. Her obits were published in the Athens Messenger
on March 7, 2020.
