Mario Thomas, Scallia, 93, of Chattanooga and Sandusky, Ohio died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in Sandusky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Josephine Dee Scallia; son, James Thomas Scallia; granddaughter, Jamie; and two sisters, Catherine Lavine and Mary Lillibridge.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Paul Scallia and wife, Barbara, Chattanooga; daughter, Diana Scallia Cunningham and husband Jim, Atlanta; two brothers, Tom Scally and Jim Scally, both of Sandusky; two sisters, Josephine Apicella, Kettering, Ohio, and Roseann Kirlic, Sandusky; six grandchildren, Christopher, Cathy, Karen, Andrea, Tonja and Michael; and eight great-grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Ashley, Jodie, Cory, Melina, Dylan and Gage.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral home with Father James L. Vick officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
