Mrs. Flora Cole, 88, died at 1:40 a.m. Friday June 25, 1965 in the Appalachian Regional Hospital at Wise. She had lived in Big Stone for 50 yrs and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are daughters Edna Raymer of Roda, Va.; Mrs Ethel Baker, St. Petersburg, Fl.; Mrs Julia Phillips, Bristol; Mrs. Hattie Fletcher, Mrs. Asalee Reach and Roberta Messer, all of Big Stone Gap; Brothers, Calvin and John Baker, Big Stone Gap; Jake, Arno, Va. and Jess Baker, North Hollywood, Calif.; Sisters Orpha Huff, Big Stone Gap; 38 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Assembly of God Church. Rev Ernest Edmond and Rev. W. W. Smith will conduct the service. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery. The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Fletcher at 5p.m. Saturday from Roy A. Green Funeral Home in Appalachia.
