Benjamin Braddy was born June 5th 1845 in Jefferson county Illinois. He was the son of Jesse and Louvica Parker Braddy. Ben was one of ten children. He served as a Private in the Civil War for the Union side and was in Company I, 48th Regiment, Illinois Infantry when sadly he was either killed in action or died from illness while his company was in Scottsboro, Alabama. He was only 18 years old. I'm not certain of his burial place but assume it must be in the Scottsboro area. With all the unknown burials here this is a very likely spot.
